When to start JEE and NEET preparation?

Foundation in Class 9 and 10, full preparation in Class 11 and 12 — and why starting early helps.

IN SHORT

Start building the foundation in Class 9 and full JEE or NEET preparation in Class 11. Classes 9 and 10 strengthen the concepts in Maths and Science that both exams rest on; Classes 11 and 12 cover the entrance syllabus alongside the boards. At Mayo, the Physics Wallah programme starts in Class 9, inside the school timetable.

Why in school, not in a separate coaching centre

Preparation with Physics Wallah and VMC happens inside the school timetable, not in a coaching centre after school.

Children save the daily commute, keep regular school attendance for the CBSE boards, and learn each topic once for both exams.

Questions parents ask

Is Class 9 too early for JEE or NEET preparation?

No. Class 9 and 10 are for building the foundation, not the full syllabus. Strong basics then make Class 11 much easier.

Can my child start in Class 11?

Yes. Most of the entrance syllabus is taught in Class 11 and 12; starting then works well with steady work.
