CBSE supplementary (compartment) exam

A second chance in the same year: who qualifies, when it happens and how to prepare.

IN SHORT

A Class 12 student who does not pass a subject can take CBSE's supplementary exam, usually held in July, and save the year. For Class 10, the optional second board exam in May now gives students a chance to improve or pass. Schools register students; check CBSE's circular for the year's rules.
