School admission documents: a checklist for parents

Having documents ready saves time and avoids a half-finished form.

Documents the school may ask for, depending on the class: birth certificate, the child's Aadhaar, address proof, a parent photo ID, a passport photograph, an immunisation record, the previous report card and, when changing schools, a transfer certificate. Class XI applicants also need the Class X marksheet.

Scan each one clearly, in colour, with all four corners visible. The parent portal shows the exact list for your child's class.
