When the break usually falls, how heat changes school days, and staying safe.
IN SHORT
Delhi schools usually close for summer from mid-May to the end of June. During heatwaves the Directorate of Education can advance the break, shorten school hours or stop outdoor assemblies. Each school's calendar has its own dates.
