How to become a designer
The stream to pick after Class 10, the entrance exams, and the route from school to designer.
IN SHORT
Design schools admit students from any stream after Class 12. The main entrance exams are NIFT (fashion and related design), NID DAT (product, communication and more) and UCEED (design at the IITs). Each tests creative ability and general aptitude, often with a studio or interview round.
