The stream to pick after Class 10, the entrance exams, and the route from school to lawyer.
IN SHORT
After Class 12, students from any stream can join a five-year integrated law degree (BA LLB, BBA LLB). The national law universities admit through CLAT (and NLU Delhi through AILET); many other universities have their own tests or accept CLAT.

Start in school
Law entrance tests reward reading speed and comprehension. Read a newspaper editorial every day from Class 11 and practise summarising it.
Questions parents ask
Which stream is best for law?
Any stream works. Humanities and commerce are common, but CLAT tests reading and reasoning, not subject knowledge.
