What pre-nursery means at Mayo

There is no single name for the year before LKG. Some schools call it Pre-Nursery, some Playgroup, some Pre-KG. At Mayo that year is simply Nursery, and it is a full school year — not a daycare batch — taught through the Kreedo early-years programme.

Children learn through activity-based materials, stories, rhymes and play, in small steps that prepare them for LKG and UKG in the same school.

Age for the first year

Nursery: at least 3 and under 4 years old on 31 March of the year the session starts.

If your child is a few days outside the limit, read about age relaxation before you apply.

At Mayo

Nursery admission for 2027-28 is open until 15 December 2026 (60 seats this round).

Apply online from the official website; the school also accepts offline payments at the office.
